Hi Greg... not sure if it's just me or does everyone talk like Brad? "Ain't" and "We won't tell nobody"? And "you don't gotta"? Is he just dumbing-down the conversation to the kid's level or does everyone in New England talk like this?

Enjoyed the Husky. Try her with tail "up" when walking. Loved the blue eyes and lolling pink tongue. You nailed that.

Brad should have a big "S" on his shirt...
because he is always saving the day.

I remember Brad using "ain't" in the past when he was talking to the transwoman, I think that's just Brad.

Where was Brad when I was that age?

Really nice episode- captures a very soft, caring side of the characters.

What a heart warming thing he did, and the drawing is better than ever.
Can't wait for the next installment! How often do they come, because ive been checking for a few weeks for this one?

Yours,
Mr Wogtastic

Thanks for the kind words, my friends. And to answer the questions raised:

To Dan S. : Although Northport surely looks like your typical New England fishing village, it is technically not in New England. Although, being on the northernmost tip of Long Island, it is only a few miles across the Long Island sound from Connecticut. (In fact, you can see Connecticut quite clearly right actoss the water!). Now about Brad's accent.... Long Island has an interesting blend of accents. Being so close to New York City, the typical "New Yawk" accent is quite common. Although, there are a fair amount of Long Islanders with no discernible accent, too. Back in the 1950s and 60s, there was a great wave of New York City folks moving out onto the Island, (which is when my parents moved out here from NYC), and the result was a large percentage of Long Islanders with NYC roots, and accents. Out of the 4 B&B guys who are native Long Islanders, Brad seems to have the strongest accent, Eduardo has it a bit, and Richard and Kyle seem to have it the least.

To Mr Wogtastic: New episodes of the strip are posted every 2 weeks, (every other Tuesday). The next on eis scheduled for July 27th. Sign up for the "Kyle's Notify List", and you'll get a notification email to remind you when a new one is posted, (links to join the list are along the right hand side of the page).

I didn't particularly care for this weeks strip. Purely hypothetical of course but ignoring bullies doesn't work , sometimes it even eggs them on even more and Brads advice that the kid will choose another target is juts as bad. The bully needs to be taught a lesson , it's called no tolerance which I wish I would have had in school. I got bullied by the 19 and 20 y/o potheaded flunkies who were still in HS when I was a freshman. I hope all of them ended up in jail or worse .
