Very nice and moving. Great message.

An unexpected twist. I love it, especially the subtle design on the kid's hat.

Lovely message. Merry Christmas!

After a very hard year, this is the one place I did not want to revisit. A lifetime past...memories connecting with a time when all I wanted to do was escape. But I made a promise and followed through. Now I am free from that time.
I suppose this message isn't meant to hurt anyone....but it does sting.
Merry Christmas one and all.
May God bless us every one.

Well that was just beautiful. I thought maybe we'd see our angel character in silhouette, walking away in the distance. Caddy's right, it does sting, but it has the ring of truth as well. - Matt

We might not had seen the 'ANGEL' in silhouetted shadow away in the distance--but, we did see the 'ANGEL WINGS and HALO' on Gabriel's blue stocking cap and the traditional holiday--'STAR OF BETHLEHEM'--sparkling, shimmering, and shining in the night sky! Nice story--Mr. Greg Fox.

I'm assuming that Gabriel, the "boy from California", is Gabriel Fernandez? His story has been all over the news here in California, but not sure how well it is known across the country.

I looked up Gabriel Fernandez... oh my God. God have mercy. Thank you for this strip. Love to you and to Gabriel.

(By the way, for those who haven't looked it up, he was an 8-year-old child whose parents abused him when they considered him to be showing "gay" behavior (playing with dolls, etc.), which was one part of horrific, long-term abuse before they murdered him. The details are very graphic, so trigger warnings... but the message of this strip, and learning his story, makes me want to do something more for Gabriel's sake and for the sake of all of us who were abused.)

by far the best episode that you have ever written! I still can't help but wonder where were they gay protesters? 8 years old. Sad and tragic I hope their mother and boyfriend get the death penalty.

This is the only episode that made me cry after looking this child up. I'm not going to complain about being black and gay again. This beautiful child is gone. .... crying.....

Given the circumstances, and the message, this is easily your most moving piece.

So sad, yet so true.

Merry Christmas.
