MANNIS: "....n' what if this 'appens to raise e'en MORE bloody questions than it answers? "

....you mean like, "...hey where's my story arc this week!?? " ...ha-HAAA!!

...But seriously, I'm of the previous generation, where "One Flag Fits All" , but knowing that there are flags that represent communities that feel PRIDE with their acceptance of what represents them, is commendable......

...'cause it wasn't like that in MY day, Kiddos! ....I came out Spring 1988 to my College counselor, and he sent me to the Gay & Lesbian Center in NYC.....I lived through the AIDS crisis, ACT-UP, Jeff Stryker, Bob Paris, Greg Louganis, Boy George, "Paris Is Burning", Pet Shop Boys' "Domino Dancing" / "Being Boring", Chippendale's Dancers, Donna Summer's "I didn't say it...maybe I
did, but what if I did..." statement / apology, Madonna's "Advocate" Interview.....

....and, I'm still here, and PROUD enough to read a Gay comic strip that features the lives of Gay PEOPLE, openly, freely, & PRIDEFULLY .....

.....anyhoo, I think the jig was up, when my Mom caught me lipsyncing to Natalie Cole's "Pink Cadillac"! ...BUSTED! ...ha-HAAA!!

...celebrate your PRIDE, CHOW!

Impressive collection of Pride flags! I'll admit that I agree with Mannis that this "raised e'en MORE bloody questions than it answer[ed]"!

I assume (?) Greg has some sort of reference manual or resource for all these different flags. Like @RBS7079, I am much more familiar with "One Flag fits all."

Although the "Bear flag" looks familiar - the rest are confusingly new to me.

I'll try looking some of these up.

Here's one definition of one category:

"AROMANTIC PRIDE FLAG"

What does being aromantic mean?
or no romantic attraction to others

Aromantic people have little or no romantic attraction to others. They may or may not feel sexual attraction. An aromantic person can fall into one of two groups: aromantic sexual people or aromantic asexual people.

Woke nonsense and virtue signaling has killed the pride flag. With flags for every pet peeve and grievance, the pride flag is now a joke.

I'm with RBS7079 on this...

"But seriously, I'm of the previous generation, where "One Flag Fits All""

It's an inclusive symbol.

Many don't know their history. There was power in a united Pride where everyone was included. Dividing ourselves into smaller and smaller groups greatly diminishes that power.

We're now seeing groups use that fractured view against us.

This is almost 50(!) flags! This is WAY too much. Why do we need so many flags when we're all SUPPOSED to be under ONE umbrella? This has gotten out of hand. I TOLD you all that this community is too divided and yes jaded. The many flags show this: Oh, I expect to get ignored because it's easier to believe a lie than to live in truth.

It gets really hard to defend when 'activist' teachers try to teach grade school kids all about the 101 Pride Flags (and the 1,001 genders). Why? Just why?

You know, I've never heard complaints that each state also has their own flag.

Some people sound annoyed as if they're being forced to memorize these. (Yet I bet some of you can still name all 50 state capitals.)

No, we don't "need" so many, so don't use what doesn't apply to you if you don't care to. Many groups decided they wanted a flag, I don't see a rational reason to call them divisive for that alone (other behavior notwithstanding). If they really wanted to separate from the rest of us they wouldn't make their flags so similar to the main one.

As with the US flag, one flag does still represent all, when all are meant to be represented, and others represent smaller groups with specific things in common.

The country is divided too. It's not the damn flags' fault.

If and when someone tells you not to use the overall/umbrella/all-of-us flag, argue with them.

Having 46 flags IS confusing.

When @Blue_Lightening talks about "the overall/umbrella/all-of-us flag" which one is he talking about?

The Pride flag with six colors? That looks the most familiar.

Honestly, most people start to tune out when you get past 2 or 3 examples of just about anything. Messaging is better if it's kept simple.

The fact that at least 46 different groups feel so strongly about this that they created their own flags makes me wonder - what IS the universal message here? I thought it was same sex attraction? Except, maybe now, it's not? Or maybe it's something else?

Confusing images dilute whatever the message is.

Im just gonna stick to the original and second Rainbow flag.

The pink triangle on black was so much easier.
