LANCE: "...Jason, you can't just come in here....genitals bulging and BOUNCING..." ...speak for YOURSELF, Lance! ...ha-HAAA!!
....well, Jase is a BOLD One, confronting Lance in flip-flops, tiny Speedos, and American Eagle tank tops....at a place where he's trying to get a JOB! ...But, he ain't wrong....
...It would be more believable if Lance SAW Jason getting closer to Price (or, showing up at the B&B more often); He would feel a different kind of 'Jealousy', and it would read more, as him feeling envious of JASON, than just keeping Jase from Price, because HE wants a crack at that Dartmouth ASS....
...the ACTUAL Ass, that is! ...ha-HAAA!!
....and, with Lance getting miffed at Drew (e.g., '...Damn It, Drew...'), I feel a breakup may be occurring fro our most 'mature' Couple....over IM-mature feelings.....

Side note - While the visuals of a muscular man showing up at someone's office in a bikini bottom swimsuit with "everything" on display are certainly appealing, as a professional myself, I find it demeaning to Jason to portray him as just another muscular, sex-obsessed Himbo. On the other hand, 1. He has the body to pull it off and 2. It shows his versatility!
"Revenge is a dish best served cold." Ole' Lance better watch his step!
P.S. Another comment totally off track - Jason referring to Drew as Lance's "...Alabama muscle bear". ?? I thought muscle bears had powerlifter builds - 35% body fat with big bellies, tats and unkempt body hair?
Drew looks more like a jacked up fitness model, or a regional level bodybuilder, with meticulously groomed hair and no tats - to me. Wondering??? I'm sure someone @RBS7079? will enlighten me.
"...Alabama muscle bear". ?? I thought muscle bears had Powerlifter builds...I'm sure @RBS7079 will enlighten me." ....talking about Hot BODIES!?? ...you GOT it! ...ha-HAA!
....Jase means more of Drew's HAIRINESS; Drew has more (natural) Body Hair than the average Dude, rendering him a "Bear", but he's also a Gym Bunny, rendering him, "MUSCLE Bear".....
....Coach "Big (D)ennis" also has the same Body hair, but since he's Older, he's referenced as a "Daddy"....seeing that Jason is Samoan(?), he's somewhat nickin' at Drew, calling him that, indicating that he's a 'Himbo'......
..But, (as YOU mentioned), Jase walking into an Office in SPEEDOS....Pot, meet KETTLE! ...ha-HAAA!!
@Ivan. Actually, your right and wrong. While it isn't anyone's business who you sleep with, it IS a normal for prospective employers to judge based on personal life. Is it right? No. To be honest with you, Lance is much more aware of the dirt that Price brings than Jason and so he knows first hand what could happen. I'm sorry folk but I agree with Lance on this one because to bring in Jason would be catastrophic because Price would soon follow with his on mechanisms. It's called professional distance and Lance, by law, is allowed to do that. Having worked with people like Price, I can honestly say that if I were in Lance' shoes, I'd do the same thing. Too messy and too much drama...By the way, that threat that Jason issued CAN be considered an unlawful action. That along with his insult of Drew and him barging into the office in less than professional attire would make me not want to hire him either...
You really are clueless about the bear culture. muscle bears are not fat - they are fit and unlike like circuit boys/twinks and clones. they have furry bodies.
I agree 100% with Jack. Very unprofessional attitude from the new baby, but real people commit these faux-pas. If this conversation were to be held at the B&B, it would be another whole story. I see Price just gained a hard supporter against Lance.. Nevertheless... yummy,! This triangle of power is getting very interesting
Jason had been presented as an intelligent, professional attorney, so it seems odd to display him walking into a corporate office in a speedo (simply for the gratuitous comment about bulging genitalia). Shorts would have made sense and still allowed opportunity to display/comment on Jason’s physique.
Perhaps Lance is jealous and attracted to Jason rather than unconsciously drawn to Price, or maybe it’s exactly what Greg’s presenting - anyone with sexual or romantic connection to Price would be diminished in his eyes. It is petty on Lance’s part, and it appeared Lance was angrier he was the last person to know. Jason appearing dressed as he is and being confrontational with a prospective employer is more “gay soap opera” than the way two professional men should address the issue; I agree it was disappointing seeing this himbo hissyfit even in a gay comic strip. This triangle and drama is interesting and I’m looking forward to seeing where it goes despite the above.
For that matter, it is confusing how Price is depicted. Is he the kind companion who is friend to Maya in children’s hospital, funds elevator and accessibility at the B&B, “rescuer” of Levi from the cold, friend who warned Rudy about Terrance, and giver of best head in Huntington, or is he the calculating man who tried to take over B&B, destroy Richard by manipulating Kristian, calls in false police report (which is a CRIME) on Kristian when dastardly plan backfires, and inconsiderate guest who shut Levi out on the coldest day of winter?
....Frankie, I'm so LOVING how you brought up Price's depiction (within this strip), because he IS a character that (surface-wise), is an atypical 'Villain', but throws us these 'Good Guy' moments that confuse the audience......
....My favorite Price moment, was when he started crying (while drunk on the B&B couch); Price showed his ONLY moment of vulnerability in the strip (which Brad noticed, and felt a mite attraction to him); Afterwards, Price tried to be a 'Better Man' (for Brad's affections), Then... was accused of Date R*pe when he gave Brad a WALLOP of a "Headshot" with his Mouth! ; )
...Price also stays t the B&B, because....who ELSE would take his sh*t!?? ....he's interesting, because we NEVER know what he's gonna do...like a TRUE Villain would.....
....and, the fact that he likes his Booty stuffed full O' MEAT (which Jason provided), makes him the most 'Active' Guy at the B&B (outside of a relationship) in DECADES (at the B&B)!
@Salk: Thank you for agree with me. I get that real people commit this faux-pas but I don't see the "sexual chemistry" between Lance and Price or Lance and Jason. I just don't but the fact that Jason is now a puppet of Price on enhances why Lance shouldn't hire him. Sorry folks but I wouldn't trust him either... Jack
@Frank: Honestly? Lance had every reason to throw him out. I'm sorry but I'm not seeing sexual chemistry between Price and Lance or Lance and Jason. Jason's not that attractive. I would like to see Lance with Kristian or Matt.
I don't see where Lance would have professional jealousy to Jason, given the fact that Jason is a stereotypical gay male (i. e. sans clothing in professional settings, etc.) I happen to agree with Lance. Why? (1) Price and Jason had sex in the B&B place that Lance and others live in VERY shortly after meeting Price (like I said, they're BOTH...frontally challenged, so it must not have been that good because when Price went down on Brad, he was BUYING Brad everything and so far, he hasn't made one gesture towards Jason), (2) Lance and others have all of the dirt on Price that Jason doesn't, (3) Jason throwing an Alexis-Carrington-ish fit only heightens why he can't be trusted in certain situations when things get tough, (4) Price is a master manipulator and he WILL manipulate Jason to learn more about Lance because they (Lance and Jason) would need to work closely together in professional settings.
Like I said before, I've worked with Price and Jason types of professionals in professional settings and to be honest with you, CERTAIN men are attracted to drama and I wished that they had never gotten their jobs because they make everyone around them miserable with their dramas.
why hasnt Lance shown any character development or maybe I missed it. Sad that the only time Lance and Drew's relationship is mentioned its only for a petty storyline like this one, I almost forgot they even were a couple because we barely seen them or seen any type of development among them. I am not sure how I feel about this storyline going forward, i feel like Price will just use Jason to try to embarrass or get Lance fired and then be done with Jason.
@Jack Lance wouldn’t (and shouldn’t) be paired with Kristian or Matt- the only thing they’ve in common aside from living under the same roof years in the past is being Black. Matt is paired with Njord, Kristian is away for a noble purpose, and as written unlikely Kristian would tolerate Lance’s attitude. Never going to happen. Same way Mannis wouldn’t put up with Price’s bull—— despite both being White dudes.
It’s clear Lance is barely in his relationship and Drew is patient but unhappy. They should part as friends or receive a storyline demonstrating their love and commitment. Not sure where the story is going with Jason; this comic strip LOVES drama, yet often goes overboard. Jason was critical of Price being inappropriately dressed in his own living room - it’s implausible this reserved, sensible attorney would show up at a prospective employer he wants to win over in his speedo and throw a tantrum. Much as we love this fictional comic there are inconsistencies which can be - puzzling. Lance himself has had numerous affairs with work colleagues and housemates which could be seen as transgressive; writing Jason off seems a mistake (and hypocritical) all things considered.
For some real drama, introduce a seasoned housekeeper, a hot sophomore rugby player from SUNY Geneseo, and have everyone in the house sleep with him unbeknownst to the others. That would be spicy.
@Frank: I feel as if Lance would be better with Matt because Lance would be checked hard and yes, because they are black. We have not seen black couples in gay strips. Hell, he could even get with Kristian. Lance needs someone to check him and Kristian can do that.
-Despite my *cough* reservations about Drew/Lance: I actually think that if Drew stood up to him, Lance would want him more. I do agree that it's time to show some level of growth and they've been together for at least 10(?) years, it's time to either get married or bust apart. And IF they get engaged, then LANCE should be the one to pop the question.
Jason is a non-character to me. I'm sorry but I do not see the sexual chemistry between him and Price. I DO see Price using him (as usual). Him (Jason) showing up the way that he did was a turnoff and him throwing a hissyfit because he didn't get the job due to HIS own actions was just crazy. He's an attorney and he should know better. In other words, Price got him to sabotage himself and he fell for it. Now, he's Lance's enemy and not Price's which makes ZERO sense. Yes, Lance has slept with a lot of clients, colleagues, BUT he was not sloppy enough to show up the way that Jason did. Honestly? I actually thought that Price with Darren was a hotter coupling because Darren isn't afraid to put Price in his place because gay men don't know how to be happy and content without drama.
I like the idea of a VERY hot housekeeper. This is FAR more interesting to me than any storyline involving Price/Jason/Lance/Drew. I HONESTLY thought that Sergei and Matt would have been hot too. BTW, where's Rudy? I would like it if Greg updated on the former roommates.
@Jack you bring up a good point with how Jason came to where Price lived and criticized what he as wearing. I am still hoping that one day we will actually see a black gay couple represented in this comic. I feel like if the only time Lance is going to be involve in a storyline is him and Price in some type of drama maybe it's time to send him and Drew away instead of sending Levi away (I still believe Levi and Darren should be a couple). One of the issue I have with Lance and Drew being together is we barely see them together as a couple, that sometimes i even forget they are together.
