...but SERIOUSLY,Folks......

...Brad's knock at Coach Dennis was HIGHLY uncalled for; we live in a time where others who are of a certain age, need to fill out their Work histories with Jobs & employment that are not in chosen fields, to earn money for a 'comfortable' retirement, which.....they may not GET....

...Brad (albeit a cartoon character) can still realize his (longtime) dream of getting to the Majors, but.....it's been QUITE the time, now....what will HE do, when that dream doesn't come to fruition!?

...Dennis is 116% right; Brad, IS Dennis....makes total sense Kyle is into him, because Brad & Kyle were to be a 'thing', so Kyle sees Brad's 'traits' in Dennis......and, we ALL know Kyle has a thing for the 'Mature' Men....

...Brad possibly will carry the 'tighty-whitey' hotness into his 'Daddy' Years (his OWN Daddy was smokin' Hot), but he may have other options until retirement, that many others, DON'T....

...I, should KNOW....chow.......

It shows real depth to this strip and its characters that it can deal with real life issues like economic insecurity, and having to cobble together multiple jobs to afford to live and eat on a regular basis = and be believable.

Historically, strips that deal with "real life" are few and far between. One notable example is "Gasoline Alley" a strip created by Frank King and distributed by Tribune Content Agency. It centers on the lives of patriarch Walt Wallet, his family, and residents in the town of Gasoline Alley, with storylines reflecting traditional American values.

It debuted November 24, 1918; As of 2023, it is the longest-running current strip in the United States, and the second-longest running strip of all time in the United States, after The Katzenjammer Kids (which ran for 109 years, 1897–2006). Gasoline Alley has received critical accolades for its influential innovations.[3] In addition to new color and page design concepts, King introduced real-time continuity to comic strips by depicting his characters aging over generations. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gasoline_Alley_(comic_strip)

I can only imagine if Kyle's lasts so long! It is branching out and exploring new ideas beyond just a "party-time/social life storyline." I suspect that the focus of the strip will always weigh more heavily towards the character's social lives, as that is the primary source of the entertainment - that and the built bodies wearing skimpy, revealing clothing! LOL

@Comixfan:

...wowza, that was SOME education! ...never knew the Katz Kids were still going until 2006! ...I sold some of their Comics on the 'Bay years ago, and was VERY compensated, wish I'd had more....

...but back to Kyle; this strip has always lightly dealt with topics entwined with Real Life (but with a Gay perspective), and I've been enjoying it....

...Dennis' P/T work (at retirement age), Levi's homelessness, Mannis' Visa issues, Jeremy not doing 'backdoor', Rudy dating 30+ Younger Men, Richard joining the Army to 'butch' himself up, Brad (clumsily) accusing Price of r*pe, Lance getting 'profiled', Jaime's 'Tim Tebow'-esque religious lifestyle, Darren's (forthcoming) PTSD issues, Dave's 9/11 handicap, Kyle dating a ("straight") Married Man....SO MUCH!

...I'm glad to see this strip pulling away from the 'Partying' period from it's earlier days, to more topical, realistic issues that SHOULD be mentioned from a Gay / Lesbian mindset....what about Delia & Lisa hiring Jeremy, as a 'donor' for a Baby!?

...SO many ways, this strip can go...let's hope Greg can last until 2107, 'eh!?? ..ha-HAAA!!

CHOW-CHOW!

Dear Coach, we, the neighblours, would kindly ask you to stop interferring in the dress code, yes as Brad says, we have seen it before and, unless you are going to help us get the guys at the B&B to always walk around outside naked then please stop trying to get them to wear more or stay inside. thank you - Yours, the Neighbours

Yes, Brad's comment was low, but he hashed it out with Coach Dennis. As @ComixFan wrote, the strip is good because it delves into its characters. They're multidimensional...like reality. And I like Coach riding riding Brad's arse. He's a good coach.

And maybe Brad will rub off on Coach., and we'll start to see Coach walk around in his skivvies...Or better yet...his birthday suit.

Wranglerman, well they have all seen coach in his birthday suit in episode 635 Coach & Kyles big night of sex. so yeah, lets hope coach starts walking around naked. nice to see him as a hairy guy too. we NEED more hairy naked men in the B&B

brad its called insubordination to intentionally insult your manager/coworker and in the real world, brad would have been cut. I think its time that Fox moved the Brad baseball storyline along already - he hasnt shown much so either move Brad along or have him get cut to pursue something else.
