I like how the story didn't stray down that expected road. ;)
LOL at the last panel.
Ok.....That was predictable....THe artwork is good...THis is the first time that I've seen Brad with actual clothes on...However, this storyline started out as a very strong one, surpassing even the Drew/Lance one but in the end, this story ended up as something that was predictable and worse clichéd....Aaron's feigned concern for his brother doesn't negate him choosing to spend time with Brad over his brother Richard
I'd be happy if Aaron isn't gay or bi. There's no reason why a heterosexual man wouldn't be comfortable enough with his own sexuality that he wouldn't have a problem with being close to another man.
The storyline simply does not ring true. To place Aaron in the most sexually enticing of positions, his "instrument" within the midst of Brad's muscular melon buttocks, with Brad clearly becoming aroused, even as Aaron feigns that his only interest in Brad is purely platonic friendship, is more a fantasy than any misconception on Brad's part.
And the fact that Aaron pre-empts Brad's presumed misconception by stating that he fully understands gay feelings because he was raised with a (certainly out and proud) brother also rings hollow. If anything, Aaron would then have anticipated that his "golf lessons" moves with Brad could easily have been assumed to be sexually compromising.
Greg has ever been a brilliant artist capable of exceptionally compelling narratives. Here, however, while attempting to shatter gay and straight presumptions of sexual character, all that really emerges is a self-proclaimed straight man in deeper denial of his being gay than could all the restrictions imposed by a lifetime in any societal sexual closet.
Why should Aaron assume that Brad would see his interest as being anything more than platonic? We've been conditioned to believe that a heterosexual man can't be friends with a gay man, or that a gay man will automatically be sexually attracted to every man that he meets. Those are the things that are not realistic.
Anonymous #1: the first paragraph made no sense. How was this a "sexually enticing position?" Just because Brad became aroused doesn't mean that Aaron would...
The 2nd paragraph would've been more true IF it had made reference to why Aaron wanted to spend more time with Brad as opposed to his brother Richard
the 3rd paragraph was something to which would have rung true EXCEPT the fact that Aaron is straight and isn't even bi....

Your right about conditioning and the realism of gay and straight behavior....

Some of you guys are really reading too deeply into some things. It's like you're projecting Brad or something.
Calm down.
It's a comic strip, not a dissertation on homosexual behavior.
O.K. Got it! with Brad a bat in his hands he gets excited....but with his putter in his hands nothing happens. Not sure that is appropriate...but it sounds cute.
I think there's a bit more to this story coming our way. Dig the new banner head - except where's Breyer?
I'm not hoping it Will, but who knows Greg May surprise us with a change in Aaron that even Aaron doesn't know yet. I'd love to see Richards reaction if it turns out Aaron is BI...
Ardenwolfe: True but I don't know how anyone is "projecting Brad" but it's the erroneous notion that all straight people have had a gay experience....Just saying

sad that this storyline ended so quickly when there was so much potential... for the kind of story i was hoping to read.
I think Aaron's in the closet. He's sexually attracted to Brad but doesn't want to admit it to himself.
Why does Aaron have to be "sexually attracted" to Brad. This story HAD potential but it faded. Aaron is straight folks. Geez not every guy has to be gay or bi.....
Kyle's bed and breakfast is for ALL people from all walks of life. I'd like to see Rudy hook up with that other older man. Now THAT would be very interesting to see them in bed together....Just saying....

I have a straight friend who is a real cock tease and as far as I know he has never been with a man.
I also think Aaron gets off by hanging out and frustrating a confused gay boy.
Or that Brad is attracted to guys that he knows that he can't have. Did anyone ever think of that? Why does the problem have to be the other guy instead of him? We all know of our have been around gay men that are like that. Not every gut that gets close to a gay man has to be gay or bi. This storyline had more potential than Drew/Lance but it fizzled in the end but not because Aaron didn't hook up with Brad. Maybe Brad is secretly straight instead of Aaron being secretly gay. Who knows? I'm more interested in Aarons relationship with his brother now...

I think Brad has E.D. due to steroid use. That is why he isn't aggressive. I think his character is overdrawn. Brad is huge, much like Mark McGwire was in real life. The ball players I've met are lanky fellas, all arms & legs!
Doug: I'll agree that his character is over draw for someone playing only in the minor leagues but there is no indication that he's on drugs but he's been in minors since the 1990s. But then when he hooked up with Eduardo he did ed. But his character is still in that mode of "me, me, me" and it's annoying to be honest. This storyline had good promise but it fizzled.
You know, for you guys who keep saying "it fizzled" as far as story, you are aware this is an ongoing story line?
Just because something appears complete, it could mean it's actually just getting started.
In fact, I wouldn't be shocked if Aaron is straight but just as likely to have sex and be attracted to men as well.
No, not Bi. But greedy. And I think we all know men like that.
Let's see how it plays please. Note, it does say "To be continued" at the bottom for those that missed it.
Ardenwolfe: I'm sorry but it did fizzle and the dynamics between Richard and his brother could have been brought to the forefront but again it wasn't. Along with deep rooted issues that Brad has about his sexuality...You part about Aaron being "straight but have sex with men" made no sense at all. It kind of defeats the whole purpose, don't you think? "To be continued was in the PREVIOUS issue....THis story is a dead issue hopefully...

it's a gay-straight bromance !!!
Oh my! This comic seems to have gotten everyone hot and bothered!
I have to say, this particular duo is fairly interesting. I think everyone just wants Brad to find happiness and Aaron dismissing him hurts because Aaron seems to be right up his alley!
However, the author hasn't necessarily shut out the idea of these two all together. Which I like. He's completely leaving it open for further story explorations and character development.
So sit tight gays and enjoy the twists and turns of these two! Will it be a bromance? Will it turn to romance? Is Aaron gay-for-pay? Hell, we don't know him that well so I can't wait for more!
(laugh) I just now noticed Brad's reaction through his shirt. Must be cold out there. Yet, Aaron seems to have no reaction at all.
Clever if on purpose. ;)
I'm just hoping that this is a bromance because gay and straight men can be friends without it being sexual
so he grew up with a gay brother, , that's supposed to mean he can enjoy groping men and it not mean anything ?
, it's way too unbelievable that a so called straight guy would hold another guy like that and then talk about hard ons and hands on the back etc. a wet dream unreality
