PLEASE end this storyline. It's unrealistic and boring. I beg of you! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

Doesn't Rudy own a cell phone? You know, those small gadgets modern people use to communicate....

I feel like one of those jerks yelling at the screen at the cinema. Rudy - get out of there! Don't call in the house, he might wake up. Don't stop to put on a jacket. What he's blocking the door but you think you've time to walk out to the laptop and send Richard a message? Why not go to out the back door? He can't see with the pepper spray - hit him again with the iron?
Ok, wel'll wait to see what happens w/ Robert and Rudy, then hopefully see some Brad/Price kissing, etc. At this point, I'd even welcome Jeremy, my least favorite character. Quite the exciting strip this last month!

Great storyline! I think it's very important to realize as we get older as gay people, especially those of us who may not have the support of traditional families, that we have to know how to protect ourselves at times when we can be more vulnerable. Thank you Greg!

You would be surprised at how few seniors own cell phones. The SSA had to abandon their "two-factor authorization" mandate because not enough seniors have access to a phone that can receive texts.

Anyway, no sympathies for Robert, although I don't want Rudy to be traumatized by guilt,

Greg

Thanks for the great Story Line. I am one of those older Gay men, and I've been taken advantage of, but I'm surviving better than Rudy! No-one has accosted me - yet! My pistol is in the other room!!

jack, if you don't like the story so much, there's always the option of, oh - I don't know, making your own. I'm sure you'll have critics that will flock to you with sophomoric cacophony of their own.
"Bla bla bla prerogative, i don't like your comment, I'm smarter than you, you're a princess -Jack"
Am i right?

Anyways, I know it's supposed to be a dramatic situation, but I can't help but picture this going at a slower pace since Rudy needs some assistance from his cane to walk and Robert blindly following after him in his state. Kind of like that Star Trek scene that's infamous(?) Kirk vs Gorn mixed with a bit of a Charlie Chaplin feel to it.

Thanks for the story line Greg. We needed to see what an elderly person can do, we'll be there someday ourselves. Not all are defenceless

....WELL, WELL, WELL!

..what a EXCITING period in this strip's history! AND coming all from an ELDER!

It's very clear this storyline is giving Greg a shot of creativity; LOVE the diagonal angular shots, the panel's shock of Robert slamming the door, the psychotic wide-eyed look he gives Rudy, & the silent dramatic look of Rudy's face after....The Fall....WOW!! :0

Greg, NO KIND of offense...but, it's VERY nice to see this level of 'Thrill' back in the strip again....The Jockstraps & partial Nudity of the 'Big' boys is nice, but THIS is what makes me want to come back weekly (and wait for, when you post a new episode!)

P.S....was the panel shot of Robert on the Persian(?) rug was to resemble blood rushing from his head? it seemed deliberate, since the red coloring runs right at his temple...if it was, GOOD CALL!
It seemed to 'fake out' the reader to this week's posting! : )

All in all, FUN read this week...and, so sorry all, for the long comment post; Red Wine and Head colds DO NOT MIX!! heehee...

...tune in, for the NEXT TITILLATING episode from the B&B...I will!!

I really LOVE this storyline!!! It was more shocking than the time Richard pulled that gun on Price. The Cliffhanging moment and excellent reaction panel at the end was priceless!I can't wait to find out Robert's fate ( I don't believe I've ever seen a character die in Kyle's B&B; Just saying IF that happened );And the housemate's reactions. I have ALL of the books and just love this series! A++

This was one of the worst set ups you've ever done. And you've done some pretty stinky ones. Congrats on topping your cliche self.

I mean, one second he's standing about 5 feet away from the railing, with no sign that he is doing anything reckless, like running or not being careful of where he is going, suddenly he falls over the railing.

This is, terrible story telling. Terrible. Ugh.

I don't love this storyline, but I do like it. It's a great idea for a plot, and touches on something that matters (or will, sooner or later) to most of the GLBT community. I think Rudy's actions are plausible, but I'd like to see his actions be a bit less cliched (really? Whapping him with an iron? How Joan Crawford of him!).
And people do fall off balconies. It's happened to two friends of mine, one in an abusive gay relationship. So while it comes across as a bit over the top (excuse the pun), there is truth to it.
My hope is that Rudy stays on after this plot resolves. He has a lot to offer the household/ family.

I actually really like this story! It needs to go full soap opera though. I'm talking about disappearing bodies, someone discovering blood on the iron or carpet. A full on murder mystery!! And at the end after Rudy's been cleared of the murder charges (because no body, duh) we find out Robert survived the fall, but secretly William witnessed the whole thing, ultimately killed Robert with a shovel or something and buried the body...

Oh, he just fell, broke his leg and the police carted him off to jail? Nevermind.
