in his first year of competition!
That's right, Mannis has seized
the crown in a decisive victory.
This year, it really came down
to a 2-man race from the get-go.
Mannis & Brad, (last year's
Kyle's B&B Man of the Year),
were neck and neck for most of
the competition; and they were
way out in front of the rest of the
pack for the duration, (their
closest competition was perennial
favorite Drew, who has won the
competition 4 times, in 2012, 2013,
2014, and 2016). But even Drew
was a distant third, as Brad &
Mannis battled it out these past
few weeks. At certain points Brad
would pull ahead, and then Mannis
would come back strong. Generally,
within 10 to 20 votes apart. But
Mannis triumphed in the end.

chart! (Check it out!). I have to say,
the biggest surprise to me was that
Jeremy did not score higher, as I
felt he had a banner year in the
storylines, (but then, Mannis was
an integral part of Jeremy's story-
line, so Jeremy certainly can take
some credit for that. Also, Jeremy
did place significantly higher this
year than ever before).

Well, the 'Battle of the Blondes' comes to an end, with the 'dirty blonde' reigning TRIUMPHANT! ...ha-HAAA!! lets recap, as to WHY these stats came to be, lowest ranking(s) first:
- DAVE; WHY can't this interesting character get some LOVE!? A handicapped Gay Man, with a Italian Bear for a lover, SOON to be married, working, cute, and, comes in LAST, AGAIN!? :( ....hopefully he'll see more action when the nuptials FINALLY happen...
- RICHARD; He was mostly featured consistently, but comes in second to last!? Maybe a character 'shake-up' is in order; a new job, a more 'serious' demeanor, and MAYBE, his original Hair color!? We LOVE him, but he needs to be pulled outta 1998..
- BREYER; as expected, at the bottom, but he came ahead of Rich; He NEEDS to be brought back on a consistent basis; We need to see Kyle & Him go thru the rituals of a committed couple, good & bad...is he even working!? Or, working for Kyle!? Hmmmm...
- NICK; ...a respectable showing, it shows he has fans; Nick is the most 'blunt' of the characters...He probably would 'lead' the huskiest of the Men at the B&B (Jake, Breyer, Sergei, etc.), so why not have him featured more as the one who doesn't 'sugarcoat'!? Maybe the nuptials will bring him to the fore, more!? Hmmm...
- EDUARDO / LANCE; they are VERY interesting, sexy, mature MEN, but -don't hit me, Greg- could use a little 'more'; More personal family background (does Ed miss his parents? does Lance want to reconcile with HIS!?) More relationship growth (Lance has THE hottest Man at the B&B; does Drew's Family accept Lance? have they MET him!?) Will Ed graduate from College soon!? These Two have grown ADMIRABLY well, throughout the strip's time...And, let's get Lance in some TIGHTS! ha-HAAA!!
- KYLE; The 'ringmaster' of sorts, is VERY interesting, too, so why not give him a story-line again!? How's the B&B doing financially!? We also MISS Breyer & Kyle; do they argue!? ..how's the sex!? Does Breyer feel 'less than' (penis size aside), not working!? They can't be ALL Love & Pancakes; lets see a 'trouble spot' from time to time...OR, maybe, a Wedding ring...

(cont.)- JEREMY; Hmmm, I have been on record, that He's the weakest character at the B&B (to ME), but his 'NIA' status brought out a sizable discussion about the topic, and he seems to have developed some 'color' (ethnicity aside); He seems softer, more sincere & caring...maybe some more growth in 2020? Time will tell....
- PRICE; He was MIA, but got THIS sizable a placing!? Get him back with Brad, STAT, Greg!! ha-HAA!! ...but, the best ASS(hole) at the B&B, is a VERY complex Guy, & he needs MORE story-lines; He should have a REAL morality-influenced situation for us to see the REAL Price, not just snitty, bitchy 'bon mots', though I LIKE those, too....HAVE A CARE!! ha-HAA!! >Ilikehisjuicyasstoo<
- RUDY; A VERY high placing, for an Elderly Gay Man with a cane...there's something there, GREG!! Rudy has SO much to offer the characters in terms of wisdom, grace, & longevity...We REALLY need more of him in the strip, Greg...a VERY interesting, underused character...
- DREW; a FOUR time winner, and a 'winning' character OVERALL! He's ANOTHER one who should be featured more, in terms of personal growth...YES he can fill out anything teeny-weeny, but he's VERY mature & smart; let's see some MORE to him, Greg....he has a GREAT Job, A Great Boyfriend; what makes him tick!? ...Is he thinking about making it "legal"!? ...LESS skin, MORE 'DREW', Greg...
- BRAD; well, well, WELL...He finally comes 'out', and now is dealing with the aftermath of it; He has ALWAYS been the 'mascot' of the B&B, but these situations are giving him more growth...but, he is in DESPERATE need of 'sexual relations'; that Price BJ was the SEXIEST storyline EVER, for ANY of the B&B'ers, Brad NEEDS to GET LAID!....what's happening with Price!? Where's Jaime!? Brad's on a ROLL now, lets' see what's happening in his bedroom, too...
- MANNIS; ..AYE ,a pint for me MATE, willa!? ...ha-HAA!! I see a Blonde in a Kilt can go FAR; Mannis' 'sexy secret' made a LOT of People guess what he was 'into'; What REALLY turns him on!? I said before that he thinks with his fists first.. What makes him cry? What makes him horny!? Who makes him angry!? Who would he 'pound' into the mattress, given the chance!? He needs MORE Greg, there's interest in him since he Won.. Mannis seems VERY 'cum-bustable' in the Bedroom, too..what would he DO to Jeremy, per SE!? >heh-heh<
..and, a "special" mention; SERGEI NEEDS TO COME BACK, PRONTO!! I'm SURE He would've had a HIGH ranking if he was in the running; He was VERY entertaining and SEXY...he's STILL in the header, THAT says something, TOO!! Yes, Greg does great work. However, you need to stop pretending that Eduardo and Lance will be explored. I know that I have. It's a moot point because he isn't interested in truly fleshing out the characters the way that he has for the others. I TOTALLY agree with you on Sergei! I don't usually fawn over bears but if I had one like that, I'd never leave the bedroom! JK. Kristian needs to come back! Why do we always see the other dull characters like Brad or Price? To be honest with you, Mannis is not that hot too me. I'm not feeling Dave at all. He's a control freak!
We never see Rudy, Morgan (who was not even on the poll list), Delilah, Matt, Jeff. Why? These are characters that were FAR more interesting that Jeremy (typical Asian male worshipping the ground that "European" beauty walks on). Interracial couples are not just black/white or white/Asian. It's a multitude of colors. Yeah....It'll be another 45 years before gay society can catch up....But I do like Breyer, even with his *ahem* small issue...
