...I don't think Kyle will need the baseball bat near the Bed, for 'intimidation'....One of Brad's CALVES will do!! (pnl.6) ...GAH, Brad! ...ha-HAAA!!
..Well, Kids, this Ep shows Kyle & Brad's LONG-standing Friendship, Love & understanding towards one another; Brad's concern, and calling Kyle a 'sucker' for not facing realization (or, implied accusation), shows what a TRUE Friend would do, regardless of the hurt it would cause the 'betrayed' Friend....
**STORY TIME**: I knew a LONG-time 'married' Gay couple centuries ago (..let's 'name' em 'Jim' & 'Shane'); 'Shane' was SO sweet, but soooooo naive, turning a blind eye to 'Jim''s dalliances...One time, I went out on a date to a coffeehouse, and saw Jim, suckin' SEEEERIOUS face, with a dude that wasn't Shane.....
...what did I do!? ...N-O-T-H-I-N-G..ain't my place.... until, Shane called me privately one day, and asked me, if I ever 'saw' Jim do anything....and, I said YES....
..THEN, told Shane, that HE did, too, if you were calling me, to ask that question. Shane COMPLETELY broke down! ...I consoled, but told him THAT'S YOUR THING, and it must be handled between the TWO of you...
...then, Shane became addicted to drugs, and started cheating himself...Jim FLIPPED, stopped cheating, and got Shane to rehab; they were good for a bit, but, I quietly left them behind, TOO much co-dependent stuff, and, I 'grew' out of that 'Lets PARTY' lifestyle...
..SO, Brad hittin' Breyer was a VERY strong reaction, from someone who is a REAL friend...he LOVES Kyle ...It may have been wrong, but if a REAL Friend did that for YOU, wouldn't it be, 'right'!??...
I love how most of the B&B is getting involved in this matter. It's going to draw it to a head soon, I hope. I want to find out what's really going on with Breyer.
If everyone at the B&B was always civil and stayed out of each other's way, it wouldn't be much of a soap opera. At least in my opinion. More drama, please! :)
Re-reading all my Kyle's books, I've come to realize just how often Breyer has "lied" to Kyle. (Jockstrap cleaner, quitting job, punching boss...) He's hot, but I don't trust him.
Kyle's being a doormat - Not regarding Breyer, but with everyone else. The only opinion that counts is his. He needs to make that clear to everyone else.
This was my reaction as well. Maybe Kyle and Breyer had an arrangement they didn't share with others. We know they don't now, but Brad wouldn't have known that before he dropped everything to interfere. Then again, Brad has always been my least favorite character, so this could be bias talking lol.
Isn't Brad the same guy that disrespected Matt...? Isn't Brad the same guy that spent years in the closet...? Those that live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones....However, YES Breyer is cheating or doing something sneaky. Now wrap up this story and put it to rest.....
Brad's had a few loves since, but you never forget your first, requited or not. Brad's never gonna stop being protective of Kyle, which is sweet, and, in this case, warranted. It sucks when someone you care about is blind to how they're being taken advantage of. Hope Kyle wakes up soon.
The thing about this storyline is that someone is being made the fool. It's either Kyle or the reader. I've read the comments and my own, and nobody - none of the houseguests nor the readers seem to believe Breyer. The only one who believes him is Kyle. So either Kyle is being a fool or the rest of the B&B and the readers are cynical and jaded. This seems to be a storyline about trust and the only one who seems to have it is Kyle. Yes his friends support him, and will stand by him through bad decisions or good. But, that doesn't mean they trust Breyer. What does it say about us, the gay community, that we don't trust Breyer? Is it because we have all used the "I stopped on the side of the road to pee, I didn't know it was a gay cruising spot" defense? I didn't know that bookstore, I didn't know that bathroom, I didn't know that store, I didn't know that hiking trail, I didn't know that floor of the library, I didn't know, I didn't know, I didn't know, etc. The only person we were lying to was ourselves, and of course the other people we tried to convince. It will be interesting to see how this storyline resolves itself, because like I said, it feels like it is more about trust than sex in the woods.
'....So, either Kyle is being a fool, or the rest of the B&B and the readers, are cynical and jaded...' ...you RANG!?? "😌" ..ha-HAAA!!
....oh yeah, I'll admit, I've been thru the ringer, when it comes to trust issues within my OWN relations, AND what the Gay (Male) community presented to me, at times, throughout my Life.... Your comment DOES shine a light, on what we Gay MEN go through, when "trusting" issues arise....
...Breyer NEEDS to clear this up, because He's not lookin' Good, now; Kyle HAS to believe in Breyer, because it will BREAK him, if he was betrayed; Kyle IS a rare instance, of a Gay Man who believes in what his partner says to him, regardless of what the 'outside' talk says....
...and, it DOES shed a light on 'trust' issues between committed Gay Men; I want the 'drama' to continue, for READERS' sake, but, it should have a reasonable (and, BELIEVABLE)'completion'.... s'up to YOU, Greg....
If I was Kyle and needed to discuss the situation (like many of us have had to do...)I would turn to Drew or Lance. Drew is a social worker after all, and the most level-headed guy there. Lance is cold, but logical, and he will be brutally honest. I think Richard honestly loves Kyle, but he is just too much of a flake to get decent advice from. Eduardo is prejudiced like Brad--he cares too much about Kyle to be objective. -Ray

CHOW.....
Sorry, I find this storyline ridiculous and tiresome. This is the business o Kyle and Breyer. Whatever happened to MYOB?
And Brad -- Mr. Closet Case for how long? -- has no right to talk.
Resolve this storyline soon...drawing it out makes it very boring and predictable.

Brad and defending his friends in naught but his tighty whities... truly a man after my own heart.
If you don't have the Pinups book, get it! Brad is delicious!
