Ah, "Green Card!" I'd take Mannis over GĂ©rard Depardieu any day! His Highland thighs are a sight to behold, and what a banger between them!

But Jeremy is right, Perhaps Mannis can find a uniquely qualified angle with his carpentry skills -- design a Scottish barn perhaps. Then he can stay longer, and he and Jeremy can get to know each other better, and soon...

Wedding Bells will ring, just as much as his nuggets in his bawbag!

..."banger"?! ..."bawbag"?? ...DEPARDIEU!?? It's EARLY, you're CONFUSIN' me! ..ha-HAAA!!

...So, the marriage question...I'm glad this topic is being brought up, Gay immigration tactics.... Mannis & Jeremy ARE still getting to know each other, and BOTH could be at threat, if this rouse goes awry...

...They seem to love each other, but with Jeremy's traveling (as a Airline attendant), and, Mannis, whistlin' in the wind in his Kilt, may cause some distance, where they can't just walk away, due to THAT piece of paper...

....and also, I'll say this...anybody who's (bothered to) read my comments, I've N-E-V-E-R been fond of Jeremy's character' I found him to be empty, boring, flighty...but Mannis' addition HAS been bringing out some personality traits, that's been makin' him endearing...

...He seems to have more backbone, & looks a bit older, too; LOVING the short-layered, close cropped 'mini-shag' hairstyle he's now got...maybe a union with Mannis will bring new challenges (& story-lines) to Jeremy, amking him a more meaningful addition to "K'sB&B"....

....Mannis can coast on his BAWBAG! ...aye, MEOW!! ...ha-HAAA!!

CHOW!

Banger = Sausage

Bawbag = Nut sack

Depardieu reference to film "Green Card" with him and Andie MacDowell (apropos of this week's strip)

You're slipping, my friend!

Not enough people take advantage of the perks of marriage in my opinion. Jeremy and Mannis should get married just to keep him in the country. They can always get divorced if it doesn't work out or have a big wedding if it does.

It literally costs like $40 to get a marriage license (at least where I am). And if it saves them from having to deal with a trans-continental relationship, isn't that worth it?

Some really lovely art in this installment, Mannis' close-up in panel 3 and Jeremy's pose in panel 8 especially. Mannis' accent, though -- oof, it is thick.

...Oh, I knew ALL of that, I meant that I just woke up, and I haven't had a 'banger' or a 'bawbag', in MONTHS!! ..ha-HAAA!!

...Depardieu, is another thing, ALTOGETHER!! ...HA-HAAAA!! >eww<

CHOW-CHOW!

This is not a good pairing in my opinion. This is the most boring couple on this strip.

...I see where you're comin' from , but I'm feeling that Jeremy takes the SANCTIMONY of marriage seriously, and wants to do it with someone he LOVES, NOT someone who needs a green card....

...even with Gays, there's a meaning to Marriage; Dave was ADAMANT on getting married to the point where he broke up with Nick, and Nick had to LITERALLY woo him back, on a Bridge in Canada with a proposal!

...It would be nice to see how THEY would feel about this predicament Manni' is in....

...and I've LONG been stating about the Drew / Lance situation...I would LOVE that this Mannis thing, would ROCK the B&B about what Gay Marriage means, to all the characters...could be some 'deal-breakers', there....

CHOW-CHOW-CHOW!

@RBS7079: I totally get that marriage can (and often should) be an emotionally meaningful decision. But I also think that too few people use marriage for practical reasons when it could make life so much easier.

If it comes with a green card or health insurance or housing security or whatever else, why not take advantage of that if you can? I've read stories of people who wouldn't be able to afford their medical care if they hadn't married their good friend, for example.

I suppose Jeremy and Mannis would need a good pre-nup agreement to prevent abuse of any financial relationship the marriage created, but that should be pretty easy to whip up.

I love the idea that Jeremy and Mannis getting married would create jealousy and drama in the B&B. But I always like jealousy and drama in the B&B. Here's hoping!

"... I also think that too few people use marriage for practical reasons, when it could make life so much easier...."

...'tis true,but in rare case it can be the other way around; 'Tennille' (allegedly) had to divorce the 'Captain'(before he died), because he had a medical condition where it became too expensive for their coverage; So to get him the proper care, she had to divorce him...

...Then, she came out with that Book, and ripped him to SHREDS! ..hooo-HAA!!

...and, that Pam Anderson recently married a Dude she snatched from another chick, and divorced him...because, he was her Home carpenter, (at the time),and after he finally finished her Home...she finished HIM!! ...ha-HAAA!!

..And, I don't think Manni' will cause any financial burdens, for Jeremy, they seem to chill for that...But I agree, with the drama of it ALL!! ...ha-HAAA!!

...Toodles!

You're right. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but isn't Jeremy the guy who does not like anal? Could there be some self-loathing issues he still needs to deal with?

Perhaps Mannis -- a guy who doesn't give a f@%k -- can help him work it out and Mannis' inner fireball will come out.

@wranglerman

I have really tried to get into this couple but I don't see any chemistry whatsoever between these 2. It seems as if Jeremy is the Dominating force in their relationship and it seems as if Mannis is Always reacting to him. That's not healthy... Outside of that I really don't see anything between them that will make me think that they are together

I think it's time to write Mannis out of the strip. Stick a fork in it and move on.
