....OK, some observations....
1. ...while it's nice to see Drew in CLOTHES again, he looks almost gaunt....methinks the backlash with Lance is getting to him....But, as a Social Worker, he's not handling his OWN relationship issue(s) with authenticity; he was there for Breyer & Darren's issues, but seems.....passive......with Lance.......the End is NEAR, Kids......
2. ...although Price is GREAT at being a Villain, his half-dressed arcs don' really 'ring' true...Dress socks, and a Lacrosse Bow!? ...But, this is the time for him to move in on Lance... (maybe that's why he's half-naked!??) ...They may hate each other, but a good, Hot tryst (in the Lacrosse field) could ease some ....'tension'..... ; )
3. ....Lance shows once AGAIN, why he's not Boyfriend material....huffin' & puffin', deflecting...snippy, bitchy attitude, condescending...... Good Luck keeping Drew, Dude.....
....and, sidenote....LOVE Richard's new Hairdo! ...the flippy, full, wavy look suits him VERY well! ...he actually looks Years YOUNGER!
...but, those "International Male" threads need to be sent back to the CATALOG, Man! ....what, is he gonna go the Limelight and twirl to Cece Peniston's "Finally"!?? ...HA-HAAA! ....Chow....... ; )
When Richard and Price are gossiping about your ménage-a-trois-mess, you know you fucked up. Lance can pout all he wants. Drew didn't do anything wrong. Lance cast Drew and Xavier in his dirty little drama, but he didn't like the performance. Chalk it up to lesson learned and get over it.
Does this mean that the conversation that Lance had with Morgan in episode #415 now holds true? Lance did acknowledge that their relationship is monogamous....until said terms were renegotiated. I would say that this latest tryst, that included Xavier was the "out" that Lance so matter of factly need to end such an arrangement/agreement.
I so wish this hadn’t become the house gossip issue. It would drive me insane to have a bunch of housemates dissecting my relationship. Price looks sexy, maybe the lacrosse stick is an attempt to bring “Heated Rivalry” vibes. Richard – just no. The outfit or the snooping but not both – more than anyone should bear.
Lance is stubborn and proud. He miscalculated how the tryst would unfold, used Drew to be with Xavier sans guilt, and learned the love he holds for his classmate is unrequited. Rather than feel satisfied, even triumphant that he is loved by Drew (the object of Xavier’s lust) he sulks and fumes and risks losing all. He and Price really would make a good couple -not in the sense they’d share love and affection, rather they’d scratch each other’s itch, inspire their competitiveness, and enable lots of sex without necessarily mixing emotion. That relationship would be open from the start – and nothing wrong with that if they both enter such a union with open, umm, eyes.
....y'know, Frankie Baby...when Price was introduced, and he pined after Brad...I thought that those Two would have a "Starsky & Hutch" vibe, maturing Brad and making Price the wildcard Hothead........
...But, recent Years show that Lance & Price would make a SMOKIN' Duo! ......well-bred, Hot Bods, voracious sexual appetites, bitchy as SH*T, and manipulative as all getout.....
...Price genuinely seems to have a '..fever for the Flavor...' , and Lance knows that Price would twirl on the Tip O' his stick, with MAXIMUM intensity!
....I agree that Lance & Price will have 'stipends', and each would challenge each other, inside...and OUTSIDE....The Boudoir...... both don't want monogamy, they want POWER!
....Lance's crotch was ITCHIN' when Jason got into Price's cheeks, maybe it's HIS turn, now!? ...Chow-CHOW..... ; )
Lance must be really naive about his living situation. You are at a close knit gay bnb , your personal life is practically everybody's business.
The only surprise here is that Price didn't know about it and of course.with somebody like that intrusive, little bastard richard around , the only way he's not going to find out is if you tie his ass up and lock him in a room which i'm surprised hasn't happened yet. Richard really is a sneaky little bastard, because the only way he would have known about the three way going sour was if he listened in on lances and drew's morning conversation. I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing a strip where richard gets a good comeuppance for sticking his nose one too many times where it doesn't belong. Like maybe having somebody plant some false information into his spying ears and watch as it backfires on him. Not that I advocate violence, but he is so asking for a first class ass beating.
i would have much rather see drew and lance talking alone and not having it becoming a gossip session with price and richard. How long is this going to continue? Also it seems like despite how liong they been together Lance seems to not have made any growth and is still the same which is frustrating for as long their relationship has been
First, I'd like to compliment Greg on the incredible attention to detail in the art. The furnishings, framed photos, flowers, books, structural elements are remarkably consistent throughout; it's like watching a film. Continuity is often neglected in graphic novels and strips - kudos Greg. Also, the definition drawn for Price's legs is so amazing I almost want to forget he's an ass - interesting reversal from how he's usually attired. Those abs everyone sports are a bit unrealistic in a place serving up pancakes so often - they should all have Sergei's build. The silhouettes in panel 6 are kind of creepy and disproportionate in comparison. Overall, great illustration - Greg is one of the best in the business.
Richard is really annoying. His character is supposed to be caring and well meaning, but it comes off more trying to stoke gossip for sport. It was a very personal conflict Lance and Drew were having, seemingly unknown by Price yet Richard feels the need to bring it into the open despite Lance's requests for privacy. He seems not to have learnt anything considering how angry he was when his housemates intruded into his room and business surrounding the Fletcher interaction.
I wonder how Lance's character would have felt had Xavier been as infatuated and attracted to him during their menage a trois, and Drew - the person who hadn't wanted the encounter at first - had been left out. Would that have been okay?
Maybe there should be an annual contest for Jerk of the Year at the B&B: Price, Lance and Richard would always be in the lead with Sergei coming from behind and Jake an honorary contestant.
Good comments! I agree that having your relationship mistakes dissected publicly on the house staircase IS EMBARRASSING, HOWEVER - Richard's intrusiveness IS forcing Lance to actually say out loud what he understands the situation to be.
I agree that Lance is a selfish, narcissistic jerk, and Drew could do much better for a boyfriend. I think Lance only views Drew as a trophy - handsome, built, educated boyfriend who is conciliatory and does not challenge him on his behavior and gaslighting. I think Drew should dump him and rethink the whole experience. If he overhears any of the hallway conversation, he should tell Lance that he, Drew, will help him "deal with the consequences" by saying "Good-bye, Lance!"

Lance is acting like a child. He initiated this situation. It's no one else's fault but his own that he can't deal with the consequences.
