If you happened to be wondering about the Lambda Legal Cartoon Contest in which I was one of the 5 finalists, well, no... the winner has not been announced yet. That is scheduled to happen on August 14th, apparently in the next issue of the Advocate. I'll keep you posted if I hear anything earlier, but as far as I can tell, the winner is being kept under lock & key until August 14th, so.... we're just gonna' have to wait a couple of more weeks to see who won! In any case, if you happened to have voted for me, I want to say a big THANK YOU! I really appreciate your taking the time!

Oh, poor Richard. He just hasn't got much of a clue, has he? If only he could find something that could take his focus off of himself.

Here's hoping there's a member of the book group who can see his attempt at plagiarising as 'funny' or 'cute'. :o)

My online book group seems unable to find ANY book that would be worthy of a discussion. As co-moderator I have tried and tried to get the discussion to go deeper than Amazon-like previews. The only time people seem to have lots of opinions is if the book has lots of gay sex, and then the most enthusiastic posts come from the straight women. Ahhh well, such is life.

Vermont sounds great just about now, but real estate implies wintering there and snow that is when I say NO NO NO.

Ha ha, the review Richard is reading seems a collage of "generic blurb platitudes" I've already heard!

Has Greg uncovered a secret hidden truth of book groups here? That a lot of people in book groups pretend they read the book, but actually get their reviews from Amazon, and don't bother to read the book at all?
