I enjoyed this weeks strip very much.
It was really good to see a str8 woman or at least i think she is str8 say something positive regarding gay marriage.

This was very sweet, Greg. Thanks, and Happy Pride to you. But please tell me I'm not required to watch "Project Runway!"

Fun, but perhaps a bit over-enthusiastic reaction from her ;)

I usually get suspicious in these cases, overreaction ("Oh, I'm SO SO SO glad you're gay!!" *32 teeth-smile*) can hide latent homophobie, the most insidious one because it's the one you try to hide especially to yourself...

Glad to see Andrew again. Haven't seen him (or Heath or William) in quite a while, except brief visits to the B&B at Christmas.

Greg, you hit a home run with this strip, so positive and so hopeful. Equal rights are coming sooner than the bigots think. This is a trend that can be delayed but can't be stopped.

It was great seeing Andrew again. He looks wonderful. Good message, but a little too enthusiastic.

Greg, dear Greg, please work on the female faces. That is a guy with a blonde wig on!
Support the storyline though I too found her rather too enthusiatic like Luca. Do not trust any widely grinning people:-)

Speaking as a straight woman, I'm jealous! My gay male friends do not like Project Runway!

It's not just TV's obsession with the gay best friend I guess...

She's too skinny to be a real fag hag.

Love the new character.

For the record, my straight best friend watches project runway more avidly than I do!

Another straight woman here whose gay friends are divided, some watch the show, some don't. Just like my straight friends.

And Luca - I know what you mean. I see many of these women at work. When they find out that I am for human rights and equal right (no need for gay rights when you have these, gay rights is just another word for separatism) I get the fake smile and the knowing looks being exchanged behind my back. I cringe when I hear them refer to my friend who is in his 50's as "cute." That's their way of making themselves comfortable with his flamboyancy.

This particular character makes me uneasy as well because to her a gay friend means someone to watch a fashion show with. Why not invite him to her book club?

But falling in the stereotype trap does not mean that her heart is not in the right place. Politically she is spot on.

The good news is that there are many like me who do not care about gender, race, sexual orientation, or gender identification. What's important first and foremost is that we share our humanity and that we judge people " the content of their character." Oh, and most of us do not have a weight problem.

And Greg, yeah, women are not male bodies with breasts (i.e. the librarian). The nice mom looks like a body builder on steroids (check out her forearms!), which is fine if that's the character you are going for. Soften the jaw line, smaller wrists and hands, shoulder proportion etc.

This one can develop into a great story line. It makes the characters more real because they can interact with the outside world and not just exist in the utopian gay bubble of the B&B.

Nice to see Andrew. Slurp! I just want to lick him all over. But then I'd get paper cuts (or monitor burns?).

More Andrew. Let's get that shirt off him next time.

I thought Mom looked a little like a Blair from Facts of Life. Some women are just big boned!
