I can identify with Kyle in terms of his feeling awful after breaking up with my ex-boyfriend in January last year. That night I couldn't sleep, I wrote bad poetry, listened to songs about tragic break-ups, and cried hard to myself. I would have watched classic Dynasty episodes too but I do that every week anyway. The next day I kept myself busy-shoveling snow for elderly neighbors, going on a long walk, and baking desserts. Whenever I did talk about it with family or friends that month, I just felt worse. I had to be alone to cry out some of that anguish. Since I loved my former beau and still do despite the way he treated me I felt like I was dying inside. It was good to talk to friends about it on occasion but not right after it happened. I needed some space to just work through my feelings myself. That said, I don't think Richard is actually the "good friend" he has been positioning himself to be. Some gay men like any other people will act supportive for selfish reasons-it's all about Richard's big ego as usual. In fact, he's quite the self-righteous hypocrite (he was the one who kissed Breyer behind Kyle's back, remember that), a historic betrayal that should be brought up in the story. Kyle probably would have come to his own decision about his relationship about Breyer sooner without Richard's self-centered interference. And Brad picking a fight with Drew just shows his immaturity (I'm on Team Kyle! You were on Team Breyer!). He does not understand that Breyer's revelation to Drew actually put Drew "between a rock and a hard place". Drew did the right thing by encouraging Breyer to tell the truth and allowing Breyer and Kyle to figure out their relationship themselves. Rudy and Drew are the most level headed, unselfish, and wise men at the BNB, Kyle should have sought them out instead of anyone else. Richard and Brad have actually become toxic in the antagonistic way that they position themselves as Kyle's "truest, best friends". I liked that Lance snapped back at Richard. Also, I think Ivan mentioned that something like this would happen in the story, you were right Ivan. Kyle may want to start taking a good, critical look at his friendships now that his relationship with Breyer is over because some of those friendships are not what they appear to be either.

Best wishes,

J.D.

....That's it, Kyle baby Let it OUT....

...the truth about Richard's HAIR, that is! "๐Ÿ˜ณ"...ha-HAAAA!! I like how Rich, Brad, Lance & Drew have such distinctive looks when they go to Bed; no matter who's your type, Easy Access for EVERYONE! ๐Ÿ‘‹"๐Ÿ˜ˆ" ..ha-HAAA!!

..now, it makes TOTAL sense for Kyle to grieve, but watching "Dynasty" may make him look like he craves 'drama'...I figured him more of a "Gilmore Girls" fanboy! ..BUT! Rich & Brad were the FIRST Friends to come into Kyle's life, and although flawed Men themselves, they ARE concerned for Kyle, and are showing TRUE friendship; J.D. above DOES make valid points with some of their 'toxic'-like 'frenemy' behavior, but they DO love Kyle to check in on him, when he DID have some space to grieve....

...Richard's Old HAIRSTYLE! ...ha-HAA!! ...Oh, WHY can't he have that slick 'Do that's in the header pic!? ..'cause that 'Pinky Tuscadero' shade ain't IT! ๐Ÿ‘จ‍๐ŸŽค /"๐Ÿ˜ฌ" ....HA-HAAAA!!

.
...keep shining, Kyle, that's what Friends are for...๐Ÿ˜Œ...

@J.D. You had me crying, dude. I'm so sorry for your loss. And that's what it was...a loss...just like death marks an ending...so a breakup means the loss of someone you loved. Only time can heal it. Wish I could taste some of those baked goods you made, though! Or better yet, taste you!

I know I'll be flamed here, but I do not like this breakup. Breyer was the type of guy Kyle should be with. He wasn't white bread and mayonnaise, which is what some of y'all want for him.

And as forBrad's question to Drew...pot meet kettle

@WranglerMan Thank you very much for your lovely reply, you are a sweet man with thoughtful views. I appreciate that. You are quite right about the loss I experienced and many other guys who have had a passionate break-up. Only time and some distance could heal a wound like that. I tried to learn from it all too. My ex bf was the first true love of my life. It felt like the complete package-we were both very attracted to each other, had great sex, helped each other emotionally and in practical ways, he could make me laugh, forget my troubles, and we both loved the original Dynasty! But he would ignore me (did not hear from him for 4 days once), belittle me due to our age difference and opinion differences, and was not taking me to meet or socialize with his friends. I felt like a "mistress" or a long term call boy for him at times. I took care of his fabulous dog as though she was my own (I miss her so much). After three years of this unfolding, I was done. We had a loud argument about our relationship over the phone and that was it. Incidentally, I made pumpkin muffins, chocolate chip cookies, and DIY green tea frappuccinos that day after I broke up with him. I don't like how the Kyle-Breyer relationship crumbled and collapsed either. Breyer's character was derailed in the classic TVTropes way. Kyle and Brad would indeed be a "dry whitebread" bland pairing. Kyle shines with a complementary partner, perhaps a passionate, sexy artist who paints in the nude is coming to the BNB...

@RBS7079 I totally agree about Richard's hair, I'm a fan of funky colour hair but it has be on a good base. He hasn't found it yet. Richard was a great friend to Dave but now he has like the floppy hairstyle that Dave had before Richard gave Dave that beautiful makeover. That was one of Richard's finest hours. He seems to have devolved as a character in recent years. Perhaps on one level Brad may mean well but Richard's motives are questionable. Price seems like an anti-hero now by comparison. Drew looks dreamy in that jock and Lance in that silky red robe-Oh yes!

Best wishes,

J.D.

That was perhaps the worst and lousy strip of this series.

I'm still hoping that Breyer will come back.

Aww, good luck to Kyle and Breyer however their relationship turns out... but these kids need to lay off of Drew for being an encouraging therapist who did nothing but give good advice.
Brad is lovable knucklehead (and a man after my own heart in those tighty whities) but that kid needs some learning. Love ya Greg

How is it drew's fault?? He did not do anything wrong and all of these people get on their moral high horse for no reason. He is not obligated to tell what goes on between his client and himself in a professional setting….. Talk about ignorant

"..Drew looks dreamy in that jock, and Lance in that silky red robe... -Oh yes!"

...who YOU tellin'!? ...ha-HAA!! I LOVE that Drew & Lsnce look to be THE most 'mature' couple in the strip; I totally believe that they would wear these items, when it's time for the 'get down with the get down', ha-HAA!!

...Greg NEEDS to get back to these two's relationship...It's time for them to make it legal, and seriously move out (or, close) to the B&B, to elevate the growth of the strip... Brad's too child-like, Rich is too comical, Sergei's too blunt, Mannis is too hot-headed, Jeremy's too docile...

...THEY, are the couple...ya hear me, Greg!?? "๐Ÿคจ" ...ha-HAAA!!

@Ridor Your comment was funny!
@RBS7079 I agree with you about Lance and Drew's relationship being the most "mature". I'm not so sure that they need to be married though. I like the idea of at least one serious, long term romance at the BNB that does not require rings or a wedding. Also, they are both developed enough to have their own comic. Drew and Lance would be a great mystery solving duo. Perhaps Lance will don his tights for a sexy ballet number at the dance company amid some intrigue. The Four or Five Temperament Ensemble (Sanguine, Choleric, Melancholic, Phlegmatic, & Eclectic/Leukine) does work to an extent when analyzing the BNB characters. Some of the characters may appear to be versions or blends of these familiar "4 humors" types.

Best wishes,
J.D.
