Lance definitely buried the lead here with the Super Bowl tickets.

But he did make a sincere effort to apologize and explain here, so props for that.

Couples have their ups and downs. The difference is whether you allow conflict to fester, or do you deal with it maturely and sensitively.

I'm rooting for Lance and Drew to go the distance.

...well, great SAVE, Lance...but, why didn't you TACKLE Drew, on the edge of that Bed!?? ...ha-HAAA! ....But, some observations.......

1. ...Drew & Lance STILL have some 'splainin' to do; this time things worked out (and Lance was illustrated as 'dewy-eyed' to get it across), but Lance IS stuffy n' snotty, and rarely express emotion for the viewer to believe he's Head over Heels for Drew...

2. ...Drew STILL is portrayed as a kept Sugar (Bowled) Baby; this is an accomplished Social Worker...where's his Business attire, his sense of handling his emotional needs...his INTELLIGENCE!? ...The crop Tops n' Jockstraps can only go so FAR.......

3. ....why didn't Lance ever offer Super Bowl tickets BEFORE!?

4. ...AND mostly.....WHY isn't Lance half undressed, KNOCKERS OUT, slobberin' all over Drew!? ...if you got a nice piece O' Beef at Home, don't you wanna cook it UP!? ...ha-HAAA! ....chow.............

This relationship has a foundation of honest communication. Is it perfect? NO. Do the two of them have misunderstandings and miscommunications? YES. Are they a "cute" couple - all "Opposites attract"? SURE.
I'm watching "Bridgerton 4" this week, and Drew and Lance remind me, at least physically, of the Bridgerton daughter Francesca Bridgerton, and her new husband, Lord John, the Earl of Kilmartin. She is a beautiful brunette who plays piano. He is a handsome dark skinned man who also loves music. The two of them are currently discussing the meaning of the word "pinnacle" [aka "orgasm"] when it comes to their married life.

They are clueless about the physical aspects of married life - at least she is. Communication is the way they will resolve the issue.

Similarly, Drew and Lance are both beautiful in appearance and they will communicate and resolve their issues - at least enough to stay together.

Side note. I can't help but notice the juxtaposition of "Drew's Jewels" and the football he is clutching - which does he like better? They're of comparable size! LOL
Which does Lance like better?! Lance should make his play for the goal! SCORE!

...alright, Comix, ya got me.

....I rag on Lance a bit because I feel that Drew (being a Social Worker) should be verbal about what HE wants in his own relationship, and smart enough to navigate it, when BOTH should be communicating it to each other......

...BUT, we always see Lance portrayed as cold & aloof, and Drew, as a half naked GOOF; I think was Frankie Baby that said that Ed & Darren show that natural balance of communication in their relationship, which makes the viewer respect their Union...and, also show BOTH in hot n' Sexy states of undress (e.g., that convention w/ the 'Space Alien' ensembles...) ....

....We still don't GET that from Lance & Drew, and although they're the 'Older' Couple, there HAS to be some level of mutual respect & emotive communication for them to be together for so long...maybe Drew KNOWS what he gets in Lance........

...Forgive me, I didn't mean to get so snitty on the Boys.....If I don't have that Morning cup O' Coff, I don't care if Drew is ASS-UP n' propped up....I'm gonna YELL at ya! ...ha-HAAA!

...Chow-CHOW!

RB - I get you - After all this time, you'd think Lance and Drew would be better or more obvious at communicating, but - NO!

They clearly need practice. I don't know their early story or how they came together. My impression is that Eduardo and Darren place more of a priority on talking out their respective points of view BEFORE they commit to someone, so that may be why they seem to be better at the whole "relationship=communication=what do you mean/what do I mean" schtick. Also, since Eduardo is a perpetual student, he approaches situations with more of an inquisitive mind.

You'll notice that Drew never seems to mention work, as in, where he works, or what he does or when he works. Lance periodically disappears on business trips. Their respective careers/jobs don't seem to have much impact on their relationship, unlike say, Coach and Kyle.

That's the beauty of a strip featuring multiple characters and storylines. Everyone is different. The only thing they seem to have in common is that they all identify as "gay". But - are they? I don't know - is anyone in the strip bi-sexual? A-sexual? Trans? No clue. I've only been reading the strip for a few years. Most of the characters I see seem to fit the standard macho appearing, muscular jock stereotype. Only Richard seems to fit the fey, gossipy stereotype. I understand there are many other characters in the past episodes that might cover a wider spectrum of types. No one is super skinny or super fat. Everyone is varying degrees of "buff" which makes for good eye candy.
Tough standard to meet!
It's a fun strip to read and the characters are engaging - look at all the time we spend dissecting their motivations!

...I'm so LOVING this! ...I've been reading the strip LITERALLY since it's inception (Sept. 1998), and we have to 'suspend' belief that No One has a 'bad' Body in this Strip....it's like they're all Superheroes, OUT of Costume.....just in Briefs, Speedos, Jockstraps & KILTS! ...ha-HAA!

.....As for Drew...he debuted as a slick, smart, INTELLIGENT Man, who migrated from Alabama to scope the Social Worker market (in NYC) and got a (high paying) Job immediately, because he believed in HIMSELF......and there was a period where he'd go to Work in a tie, & slacks....and, was smokin' HOT......moreso, than his Mark Spitz Speedos!

....Lance met Drew (playing Garth Brooks CD's in the B&B Livingroom) and instantly HATED him (Greg's raison d'etre for the characters), but, wanted to SCREW him.....Drew knew this, and made Lance WAIT....THAT, is someone who knows his WORTH in a relationship........

....THAT'S what I miss....these were 2 Work-related MEN, in a union, who are balancing relationship & Work.....but it's never MENTIONED anymore! ...Drew's now a speedo-clad Himbo, with all this , "...Y'all, Y'know, I dunno..." gibble gabble, afraid to confront Lance about any snags in their union......

...Ed & Darren's union evolved naturally, and is respectful; they're GROWING together...because Ed was a SLUT (in the beginning), and now he's a '...perpetual student...' ..P.S., LOVE the shade! ...ha-HAAA!

...But you're right...It's a cute, fun read, and let's hope Greg utilizes ALL the characters this Year..I miss Price, Levi, Mannis, etc. .....'Buff' IS nice, but the characters are endearing........

.....besides, I'm a 'Buffaholic', I probably wouldn't BE here, if I didn't get BEEF! ...ha-HAAA! ...Chow-chow-CHOW! ; )

So I guess when your relationship is on the rocks, just buy your way out of the situation - Got it.

Ok....I'm upset. I wanted them to break up so that Lance can be with either Darren or Matt....That being said, I don't get some of the guys here. I saw one of them pushing for a Price/Lance/Jason hook-up, another one pushing basically for an open relationship, and several others wanting them to break up because "Lance doesn't like what Price likes..." Can the gay men here make up their minds...? Also, where is it written that your husband/partner/boyfriend has to like EVERYTHING that you like...? It always seem to be about either (1) drama, (2) speedos. Little more...Lance and Drew actually have a gay MATURE relationship in terms of reality. So too does Darren and Ed. In other words: grow up. So many people here didn't like that I stated that gay men doesn't appear to either entice or want any true level of happiness, awareness, etc. It wasn't a put down but an observation....NOW: Good on Lance to try to make it right. Isn't that what MATURE people do...? Just asking... Don't bother responding, I mean I already have been deemed a "troublemaker" for DARING to ask these inquiries. Question: Isn't this what gays accuse straight people of doing...? Just saying....

How romantic - Lance truly does care about Drew. It's a nice surprise, and glad these characters have professed their love. BUT - they still have some unresolved issues (as scripted by Greg in earlier episodes). It seems they've not been intimate for some time. Lance dismissed Drew's conversation about sharing a room. Did they ever travel to Alabama to meet Drew's family? What about Lance's family? It's good they've talked through the misunderstanding about attending events of interest to the other, and it's also very neatly tied in a bow.

I'm thankful for Greg's compelling story-telling and the beautiful artwork, which has vastly improved over the years to become more detailed, playful and sexy, complementing the stories. With such attention to the art I wonder if Greg overlooks some of his plots of the past, causing inconsistency. The most noticeable to me was Richard's anger towards Breyer/protectiveness of Kyle when Breyer had a j/o session in the woods - plus the gaslighting. The anger seemed misplaced considering Richard made a (drunken) pass at Breyer but had presence of mind to suggest to Breyer Kyle didn't need to know if they hooked up. That got Richard tossed from the B&B; even Price never experienced eviction after trying to take over the place.

It is nice to see a kinder side of Lance, who often is written as cold and brusque. He didn't just say the words needed to mollify Drew, he put them to action with Superbowl tickets (though perhaps it's just an excuse to see Bad Bunny live).

@Frank: I agree that they have unresolved issues (Drew and Lance) but these people here think that the ONLY resolution is either an open relationship, break-up, hook up (Price and/or Jason). I mean come on...I agree with regarding Lance meeting Drew's family, moving into their OWN place and leaving B&B...It's time....I think some better storylines include (1) Kyle not trusting Richard because of Breyer, (2) will Ed EVER graduate?, (3) Will Brad EVER go the the big leagues? (4) What's going on with Morgan? Delia?, (5) Never cared for Jason but how does Brad feel about them hooking up? There are so many MORE interesting plot lines that could be explored....

....I'm 107 Years Old, and NEVER heard of this "Bad Bunny", Dude, until I saw him in that Tuxedo on the Grammys.....WHOA! ...ssssssssssssmokin' HOT!

...he seems very...UNIQUE.......very stylish, very BORIQUA.....reminds me of those Hot Latin Men from the 1940's in NYC....I may have to tune in to this damn Super Bowl because of this Hot Pedazo de CULO! ...ha-HAAA! ; )

Drew and Lance are my favorites. I am glad that they worked everything out, Lance needs to be more aware of Drew's feelings.

i think for me the entire issue i be having with the Lance Drew relationship is that we see them having good moments, then they disappear for a moment, and then when they come back as focal point we see glimpses of them having issues (lack of communication, intimacy, etc). i feel like if we are supposed to believe that they are supposed to be together or break up show it consistent instead of here and there. I mean we had a whole storyline about Richard and an AI lover for a while, and we even saw Ed and Darren's relationship progress (though i am still think a missed opportunity was there with levi and darren).I just think it would be more believable if we saw their relationship consistent instead of every few months. I mean sometimes i even be forgetting they are a couple

This moment moved me because I was not expecting Lance to express his love for Drew so strongly. He has often been a jerk. It was a surprise to hear him being vulnerable and telling his lover his desire to be with him. As for the commenters who have made about Drew being a social worker and should have known this or that, I have known psychologists, social workers, and counselors. They can have problems. Just because one can help others doesn't mean that one can always help oneself.

Bit late to the show with my comments, but "I am the world's biggest fan of Drew Danvers." AAAAHHHH...I LOVED this! Lance had me when he said he's sit through a thousand football games if it meant sitting next to Drew. He's like Julia Roberts in Notting Hill. "I'm also just a boy, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love him." He's a keeper, Drew!

The thing that I don't understand is this: whenever there are issues, the first thing everyone says is: "sleep with so and so," or "break up," we are not in a gay male movie version of "Mean Girls" because adding other parties rarely works out for the better in any condition. Counselors have issues, mental workers have issues, it's called life. But you can't run every time something is not to your liking. Would I like to see Lance with Matt or Darren, yes but that's not the reality...
