When you feed a bear -- especially a Russian bear -- all he will want to talk about is more food. "Next time you bring chizz-cake -- Sergei like strawberry on top."
...I'm surprised we've come back to the "..Sergei gets a Kid.." story arc, but if it squeeeeezes him in those spandex shorts once again, I'm all FOR it! ...ha-HAAA!
...But, I still don't know how this will ebb out; Harper (the 'Kid') indicated they will be going to College soon, and was in a dangerous Home situation with the h-omophobic Father, now the '..perky..' Mom wants Sergei to mentor a Soccer Team!??
...I didn't know there were 'other' Kids! ....and, wouldn't it be better to have someone else be an 'ally', like Eduardo, Brad, or Drew!?
...It seems Mom is l-i-t-e-r-a-l-l-y 'buttering up' Sergei, because of his Pro Hockey player status, to get the DAD closer.... I dunno, The Drew / Lance / Xavier situation JUST got juicy, and perky Moms & snippy Kids are now comin' into the B&B!??
.....Serg better get some more revealing spandex tights, if I'm gonna have to sit thru THIS..........................CHOW.......
I'm glad you came back to this story arc, Greg. Coming out as gay/bi/trans is a process. I criticized you when the story first started, and others did too. It's nice to see you take criticism seriously. Now, for one more. Sergei should put the cookie down and step away from the box of cookies. His paunch is getting paunchier. His man boobs are getting saggy. And pretty soon what looks like a packing pistol will become -- to quote Nancy Reagan -- "a tiny little gun."
Don't really know where this is going, but it's extremely off-putting so far. I get that Sergei's gruff dont-bother-me persona is supposed to be funny, but it's not remotely appropriate for this situation, and it strains credulity that anyone in this family would be interested in his opinion on their drama when he has demonstrated nothing but contemptuous indifference to any of them. I mean, who is this FOR?
I agree, it’s all well and good to be funny and lighthearted and I’m happy Greg is revisiting the thread. This topic, especially considering our political climate, should be given gravitas. Maybe this is presented for Sergei to become warmer. It’s also a great opportunity to offer a teachable moment for LGBTQ readers at large and shine a spotlight on resources (both national and on Long Island) for our trans community. The cookies could have been saved for a holiday panel rather than the centerpiece of this episode. As appealing as Sergei is drawn in shorts, Delia, Morgan, Drew, Eduardo and even Richard would have been better choices to provide support for our nameless trans teen and educate the parents. I’m sorry Greg….
I'm with Sergei. When I'm trying to watch my murder shows, I don't want to be playing unpaid social worker to a screwed up suburban family. If you do want free advice, you better bring a Baker's Square French Silk Pie to show your appreciation.
...yeeeeah I agree, Alt, but to an extent...; the Sergei character really had nothing to do for Years, in terms of a Story arc....him being Russian stalled any chances of a juicy Story arc by way of the Political climate with the USA ties with Russia....
....the only touching moment I personally felt from Sergei was when he was in the Livingroom worrying about his Family, showing No emotion...Until, Darren & Eduardo sat with him, and talked.....they KNEW Sergei needed an outlet, and they were true FRIENDS, being there for him.....
....this Story arc (with the Teen & their Family) does have a serious side to it, and Sergei's "...No bug me now, Da!?.." demeanor takes away from the learning curve it can bring.....
...this would be a KILLER Storyarc for Delia, allowing her character to grow, and show her more maternal, Parental side(s)....Time will tell on this One....CHOW-CHOW.....

You make left hand too big on woman with cookies soccer mom, Grigori. Please to fix.

Sergei is always good comic relief, especially for a serious topic that could get overwhelming if not handled with the right touch.
