By the way, I had mixed feelings about posting a new episode today, on this anniversary of September 11th. Would it have been wiser to wait a day, to alter the regular "every other Tuesday" publishing schedule of the comic strip?

I gave it some serious thought, and realized several things. First of all, newspapers around the world, (and that would include all the comic strips published within those publications), aren't altering their publishing schedules because of today. It seems that there is a real need for publications to continue publishing regardless, or in fact because of, the circumstances happening in the world.

Interestingly, (and completely unplanned by me), today's episode features 2 characters whose storylines & origins are intertwined with 9/11. So, perhaps it is a tribute to all of those affected by 9/11, to show these characters now thriving and moving on in their lives.

My thoughts go out to all of those affected by September 11th, 2001.... here in the New York area, and around the world. Peace to all.

If we've learned anything from 9/11, one of the things should be that no matter what we do, we carry on with out lives as usual. It was the right decision to post today, and would have been WRONG to postpone. We remember the day, but we do not "STOP" because that is what terrorism wants.

great job!

Thanks for posting the new episode. Terrorists should not be the ones dictating our lives. The one thing we CAN do to honor those who lost their lives is to not give in to fear. Live our lives to the fullest.

I think it's fitting to show a character who is a 9-11 survivor moving forward and thriving and moving into a new life. It's healing and bravo to you Greg!

I'm one of your older guests, just wanting to say what a neat job you're doing with this story. They're realistic and likeable people. I still enjoy going through the book...
Keep it going, and all the best!

I love this story line! It's great to see two such real and likable people helping to heal each other in a loving relationship. My question is: Will Dave ever try to get back on the ski slopes he mentions in this episode? There is the sit-ski used the the International Para Olympics. I can see Nick encouraging Dave to make that next move toward recovering his life before 9-11.
